Executive Television Producer and Media Consultant
Deborah’s multimedia know-how extends to producing magazine programs, news, live events, entertainment and talk shows. As an executive producer for television, Deborah has produced hundreds of national network, nationally syndicated shows both taped, live and on location. She has worked with TV and culinary personalities including Bryant Gumbel, Barbara Walters, Julie Chen, Andy Cohen, Martha Stewart and Chef Marcus Samuelsson. Outlets include ABC and CBS NEWS, Orlando’s AMERICA HEALTH NETWORK and international news/entertainment start-up network ARISE TV. Deborah has developed and launched unique shows including two women’s daily talk shows and a weekly movie review show. Live event productions include work for Mercedes-Benz New York City Fashion Week.
Deborah was Producer for CBS News “The Early Show”, Vice President of Development for The Investigative News Group and Supervising Producer and Co-Host on the syndicated talk show “Geraldo.” In addition, Deborah spent her early years working for “Essence, The Television Program” one of the first weekly syndicated magazine shows created for an African American audience.
Deborah is a member of the Producers Guild of America (PGA) and James Beard Broadcast Media Awards Committee. She is a former weekly contributor to Entrepreneur.com, founder of Deborah Mitchell Media Associates and creator of the television production blog Ready4Air. Presently she consults on an array of projects including podcast production and the high-end literary promotion program Bedside Reading. Also, keep an ear out for her work as voiceover talent and speaker at corporate events.
A passionate yogi and foodie Deborah is a PADI and NAUI certified scuba diver who enjoys traveling. She has a special love of Italy and is studying Italian.
